Mariko & Lauren's Favorite Layers

2021 feels like the year for getting out of your comfort zone, and trying new things. We love bringing you all sneak peaks of our favorite styles and trends, but in this week’s Editorial, we want to mix things up and give you something different. With jewelry being the ultimate accessory, we can’t help but obsess over it ourselves! The second we crack into a fresh shipment of jewels we immediately layer up before everyone can see - sometimes we even snatch a few goodies for ourselves. This week is a special edition look inside the jewelry boxes of our Pavilion stylists Mariko & Lauren, as they share their favorite everyday options.

Lauren’s Rings:

I have always lived by the philosophy that the limit does not exist when it comes to jewelry. Being a lover of all things gold, you’ll see me switching between different layers made of a mixture of fine and budget friendly jewelry. I love decorating my fingers with easily stackable treats while integrating some statement gems that rarely leave my sight. Being a huge advocate of signet rings, I love the Heart Signet Ring with Diamond Starburst in Yellow Gold, a part of our personal Pavilion label. Decorated with a solitaire center diamond, this loved up ring is too cute to pass up. Next to that, I am sporting Pascale Monvoisin’s best selling Pierrot Ring in Black. One of my first fine jewelry purchases was the Bowie Necklace by Pascale, and I think there is something very uniform and classy about having a match back moment with different pieces of the same style. With our Pavilion label jewelry providing us with so many dainty bands, I had to build my own stack to offer variation and different textures. I layered up with our 2.5mm Beaded Stackable Ring in 14k Yellow Gold on bottom, the 2mm Woven Band in 14k Yellow Gold for a different texture, and our Diamond Marquis Ring in 14k Yellow Gold for that final layer of dazzle. Sandwiched amongst these beauties, I added Roule and Co’s One Row Pixel Dust Stacking Ring in White Diamonds and Yellow Gold for that final injection of diamond variety.

Lauren’s Bracelets:

Aside from wearing my watch everyday, I love the ease and aesthetic of decorating my other wrist with bracelets. Sometimes when I’m feeling extra lazy, I’ll ditch the clasps and slip into Marit Rae’s amazing beaded stretch bracelets. Here, I layered with different millimeter sizes with the 5mm Big Bead Gold Stretch Bracelet combined with the daintier 3mm Small Bead Stretch Bracelet.  These are so easy and versatile when building that perfect stack. I love wearing color, especially with Spring among us. Lavender is always a seasonal color we see around this time, and I get that injection of color with Marit Rae’s Enamel Chain Bracelet in Lavender. I wanted to add in something sweet, and EF Collection’s Diamond Evil Eye Bracelet in Yellow Gold gives me that diamond twinkle as well as the protective qualities that wearing the evil eye signet presents. Lastly, you’ll never see me without one of Marit Rae’s clip chains, and the Medium Clip Chain Bracelet in Gold Filled is that piece I will never forget before I leave the house.

Mariko’s Earrings:

I love jewelry, but as self-proclaimed minimalist I tend to opt for less is more. That being said, I really only have 2 piercings to change out, so perhaps if I had more, I would wear more earrings. I love the look of a ‘curated ear’ as our beloved Maria Tash has made famous, but I personally need functionality first and foremost, and on the daily that means my trusty pair of yellow gold Diamond Balloon Hoops. Brought to you by yours truly (Pavilion), I love these classic but modern earrings that are lightweight and comfortable all day. With a substantial eternity closure these never get caught or stuck in my mask or hair and the pave diamonds add the perfect amount of daily sparkly.

Mariko's Necklaces:

Necklaces are one of the few things that I like to change up in my daily routine, the one constant to that however is that I always wear layers. It’s a rare day you’ll find my neck naked or even more unusually with one lone necklace. I find it a true joy to decorate my decolletage and mix it up with both fine and fashion layers. I love how sweet and delicate the whisper of EF Collection’s Diamond Star and Moon Necklace is. This dainty 14k gold piece is adjustable but nearly choker length, making for the perfect short starting length. The 4mm Beaded Necklace from Santa Barbara Based is composed of gold filled beads which are both chic and sturdy for everyday living. Last but not least, I’m almost always in my Curb Chain Initial necklace - a wonderful gift from my dear friend Marit Rae herself. This plated chain is the perfect intersection of retro trend and fun fashion that lends just a touch of edge to any outfit. Don’t forget, we can always order any letter for you or that special someone.
