The Color of The Season: Green

Pantone announced that 2019's color of the year as "Living Coral," saturated, seasonless, and optimistic, this color began making appearances on every runway and street corner. However, with fall finally upon us and Fashion Month winding down, green is feeling more like the global color du jour. Mixed teals, minty greens, olive greens, and pistachios are showing up the streets and catwalks in a major way. This week, we are showing you some great (and green) favorites that will keep your wardrobe fresh through fall.

As we have discussed many-a-time, the jumpsuits of all kinds are a seasonless closet staple.  With the magical ability to make every woman look effortless and chic all at the same time, The Hepburn Jumpsuit in Tulare by DL1961 x Marianna Hewitt will quickly become an absolute favorite. Constructed to be flattering and comfortable, this piece is perfect alone or layered over your favorite long sleeve or even muscle tank.. This timeless piece is elevated with rose gold hardware accompanied by an earthy green tone inspired by the foliage of our beloved California.  If the weather feels a little chilly, reach for your favorite dark wash denim jacket. For the sake of seasonality, we decided to throw the Annie Ultra Cropped Oversized Jacket in Salinas over our jumpsuit. Top it all off with a dark-rimmed round pair of sunnies such as the Jefferson 54 in Matte Black by Illesteva and a flashy sneaker.  We reached for a favorite from Golden Goose's new Fall Collection, the Midstar in Leopard Pony with Black Star.

The Balloon Sleeve Sweatshirt in Seawater by Agolde not only hits our color trend but also combines fleece and fashion. This ultra-comfortable crew neck features a voluminous sleeve with a "long" crop body length that pairs perfectly with any of your favorite high rise bottoms.  We decided to let the jewel-tone teal speak for itself and paired this top with our newest slip-style skirt by Rails, the London Skirt in Black Daisies. Experiment combining this with other simple 2-3 color prints for a surprisingly complementary result. Dress it down by grounding this outfit with a seasonally appropriate grunge style high top sneaker such as the Slide in Black Leather with Studs by Golden Goose. If the thermostat turns up and you need to transform this look in line with the outdoor temp, trade-in your sneakers for a comfortable sandal or slide!

Last but not least, we want to introduce you to your new go-to transitional third layer for those warmer fall days(or nights). The Beekman Jacket by DL1961 is a military-inspired piece that will never go out of style. It's crafted with large utility pockets, a drawcord around the waist and a cropped sleeve for a more feminine fit. Made from a super drapey blend of Lyocell and Linen, this is an easy lightweight shirt-jacket - beware though, this relaxed style runs large so be sure to size down. We decided to let the olive color speak for itself and outfitted it with the Slub Racerback Tank in White by Stateside for a little bit of added texture and layer ability. Hit another 2019 trend and finish your outfit off with a pair of comfortable washed black skinnies such as the new Chrissy Ultra High Rise Ankle Skinny in Camarillo by DL1961 x Marianna Hewitt.  We suggest wearing a low top sneaker to play off the natural crop of the jean - we went for the Superstar in White with Gold Star by Golden Goose for a little bit of controlled fun. Lastly, grab your favorite tortoise shades such as the Lisbon in Havana by Illesteva and head out the door!
