The AMO Tee Guide

These days we are all ‘queens of casual’ and with that it feels absolutely necessary that our uniforms consist of the perfect, easy to style tee(s). Finding the ultimate tee is no easy feat, and we ourselves have struggled when it comes to the hunt. Many know AMO as a renowned brand that serves up denim favorites that are timeless, yet decidedly modern, but as of late they have proven not only to have mastered the art of denim, but the ultra soft, basic tees. These supple tops have quickly become shop favorites, flying off the racks everytime we restock! The word “amo”, simply translated, is the latin root word for love, and we can clearly see the love they put into their ready-to-wear as well. In this week’s Editorial, we are highlighting three of our most popular and slam dunk favorites from none other than AMO themselves.

Every known label has a signature that they constantly re-run knowing that we will never get tired of it, for AMO, the Babe Tee is exactly that. Available at Pavilion in the classics - White and Black with the occasional seasonal pop of color, this democratic, fitted but slightly boxy silhouette pairs effortlessly with all of your favorite high waisted bottoms. With a body length of 19 ½”, this tee can be categorized as a slightly longer iteration of the well known crop top. We love how casual and cool it looks when outfitted with a classic high rise blue jean or dressed up with a figure hugging slip skirt. Of course, if you're feeling flirty and want to show a little bit of midriff, size down or go with a lower rise to spice things up. This semi-cropped fit features short sleeves and AMO’s signature double needle side seam detail. AMO makes sure that each piece is one of a kind, and made using only the most premium of materials with meticulous detailing throughout. Their slinky cotton jersey is soft to the touch and drapes perfectly atop the body, reminiscent of that favorite tee you just can’t get rid of. Most of AMO’s styles retain a slightly retro vintage look and feel, but part of the magic is their ability to expertly execute and incorporate feminine touches into a classic garment. Perfect for those ruffle-loving ladies, AMO’s Flutter Tee contains just the right amount of sweetness. With a similar overall body block to their Babe Tee, the Flutter Tee features a boxy silhouette with a delicate, drapey cap-sleeve ruffle detail that sits gently at your shoulders. AMO is known for dropping their own iconic denim styles, and we love how they reflect the details and names of their best seller bottoms with their signature tees. Much like the Babe top and bottom, brand loyalists may be familiar with their Twist Jean. A recent add to the collection, enthusiasts may not know about the Twist Tee quite yet. Equally cute and unique, the Twist Tee contains angular, forward facing seams with a stylish notched hem capping off each seam. This everyday staple can be quickly front tucked for a little bit of added styling, or left out so no details go unseen.
