Short Season

It's almost that time to retire our full length pants and break out our warm weather hemlines. Shorts, skirts, and dresses bring some much needed fun in the sun. Whether you prefer the cold over the hot, we can all agree that not dressing correctly for the weather is always a challenge. It may feel a bit early to bare it all in short shorts, but we are always advocates for being prepared, which means getting ahead of the curve for all seasonal styles. We love making helping ensure you’re ready, so we've recently stocked up on some oh-so-stylish denim and non-denim shorts. In this week's Editorial, we want to show off our new arrivals while styling them just in time for the heat.

If you're shopping for a short and the proverbial “denim short” isn’t your jam, or you've maxed out on the classic cutoff - we're thinking of you, too! Fuss-free and fresh on the rack, AMO Denim gives us something a little different this season with the Ranger Short in Surplus. These washed-olive canvas shorts feature cargo-style pockets and other utilitarian details for a chic safari-esque aesthetic. Olive is truly seasonless, and this non-denim iteration of the summer short is almost too good to be true. We went with the Classic Raglan Crewneck in Heather Grey by RE/DONE for a masterful, street-ready, and casual ensemble. This outfit is calling for a chunky sneaker, so we had to provide. Go big and bold with Golden Goose's Running Sole in Silver White Zebra Pink.

With the warm weather comes the Parker Vintage Cut Off Short in Swapmeet from AGOLDE. What’s now become a perennial brand favorite returns to the shop in it’s tried and true light wash. Loved by all, these weekend-ready shorts are the cutoffs we all see in our vintage-loving dreams. Featuring big hits of destruction in the perfect true blue wash, these are guaranteed to be a part of your summer wardrobe. With endless outfitting possibilities, we wanted to pay homage to the classic white tee + blue jean combo and paired our shorts with RE/DONE's Modern Cotton Classic Tee in Optic White. Go for effortless and reach for a fun and retro high-top sneaker such as the Mid Star in Light Gold Glitter by Golden Goose.

The season for light wash denim is now, and that goes for shorts as well. AMO Denim is renowned for their heritage denim and balance of on-trend and classic cuts. They always give us something new for every season, and if you're in the market for a pair of worn-in light wash shorts, then their Loverboy Cutoffs in Super Light Vintage are the perfect match. Evolved from their best-selling "Loverboy" jean, these cutoffs feature a soft and slouchy fit with playful distressing, button fly closure, and an unfinished, frayed leg opening. With an inseam of 2.75" and a rise of 11", these high rise shorts are just the perfect length so you’re not all on display. Keep things seasonally fresh with a dose of color. We opted for the Marrakesh Dashiki Top in Pacific, a summer-weight tunic by our newest resort-forward brand, 9seed. Keep it clean and show some toe with K. Jacques' Epicure Sandal in Nude
