One Blazer Three Ways

A perennial closet staple that is completely seasonless and an essential in our minds, a well fitting blazer complements virtually any outfit all year long! But with it being the season of outerwear, we are visiting one of our yearly staples at Pavilion–the Anine Bing Fishbone Blazer–and giving you three ways to wear it.

Virtually every year Pavilion offers Anine Bing’s Fishbone blazer in its most current iteration, and it’s always a client favorite! A true wardrobe staple, this blazer comes updated in cream and tan herringbone this year. With a longline fit, sharp shoulders and double button placket–complete with interior pockets too!--this menswear inspired piece is meant to be slightly oversized but still fitted. Crafted from luxurious Italian wool and with warm brown buttons, this version is flattering and easy to dress up or down.

Dress it down by pairing it with sleek slip on sandals and easy, slouchy pants. Black is a great companion color for these warm neutrals, and our newest low waisted, raw edge trousers are a perfect match to keep it casual. Loosely french tuck an easy tee or let it drape over the waistline for a fuss-free look that’s still polished.

The art of subtle layering also works beautifully with a polished blazer. For cooler days, grab a lightweight layering sweater and throw it over a white collared shirt–another closet must-have. Leave the top buttons open and tuck the collar out, then pair with pinch waisted denim trousers. When layering this way, keep the color palette singular and neutral but play with textures to give the look interest and depth. Finish it off with simple sneakers and gold jewelry and you’re sure to receive lots of compliments!

Finally, try pairing the blazer with a little black dress. A nice in-between casual to dressy look takes a simple black tank dress to pair with feminine accessories for an eternally chic effect. This is a great alternative to an office to dinner look or a weekend date night.
