Illesteva Foreva!

July is a beautiful time of year - we are in the deep throes of summer,  flowers are blooming, and the sun is shining. The season is often chalk full of outdoor adventures with family and friends, and while many of us aren't participating the way we usually would, we can't let COVID kill our fashion game! With the warmer temperatures comes the arrival of summer’s eternally hot accessory - sunglasses. If you didn't know already, we are hosting a gorgeous trunk show full of a variety of sunnies from everyone's favorite Euro-made brand - Illesteva. The brand continues to blow us away with their protective and performance shades carefully designed at their in-house SoHo design studio, carefully hand making each pair in Italy and France. They believe that there is a unique frame for every face, drawing inspiration from cities around the world. The brand aesthetic and styles are direct products of their surroundings. In this week's editorial, we are highlighting three new frames featured in our trunk show which ends July 15, 2020, that stand out to us in a big way. If you see a pair you're crazy about, act fast as quantities are limited and the full show is only available at our Presidio Heights store (3600 Sacrament Street San Francisco, CA 94118).
Color continues to be an exhilarating trend that sunglass lovers have been quick to adopt. If you're a bold color-loving risk-taker, then the Leonard II in Cobalt is the perfect frame for you.  Named after the trendy and edgy Tribeca street, the Leonard II fully embodies the chill and laid back New Yorker. A larger update to the famed Leonard, this style has become an oversized brand staple. Featuring 3 signature rivets on each corner, this round silhouette joins us this season, updated in a chunky translucent acetate that is hand poured in a daring and crystalline blue. We love the contrast of the blue against the gradient gray flat lenses which are both UVA/UVB protected. Democratic for most face shapes, the Leonard II lens is 50mm across, best suited for larger faces and those searching for an oversized aesthetic.

The "trendy" pair of sunglasses isn’t for everyone. Some of us identify as creatures of habit and prefer something a little more traditional with classic longevity. If you're searching for a seasonless frame with a dash of trend-worthy edge, we are raving over the York in Black. Inspired by the historic city of York in England, this jet black acetate frame is elevated with a slight cat-eye,  bridging the classic style with a modern twist. This simple yet elegant shape is perfect for the everyday girl who identifies with a more definitive sense of style. We love the level of timeless edge that the thick black acetate brings to any look. Meghan Markle herself is a fan of this classic, chic, shape.
For the wireframe loyalists that are looking to dabble with acetate (or even the other way around), the “Ace” styles from Illesteva are a great way to experiment with a bit of both without over committing. Aces are wire frame frames that have acetate wrapped around the frame, and if this is something you’re into, then the Wynwood Ace in Champagne Rose Gold with Brown Flat Lenses might be a fun frame for those feeling adventurous. A new update to a more high fashion frame, the Wynwood has become a signature to the brand and now comes to us in a sweet champagne style. This hybrid lens beautifully blends a golden toned acetate with delicate, lightweight gold frames, offering a more exaggerated round shape than their original shape. Crafted from ultra-lightweight stainless steel, this wire framed silhouette is elevated with a striking geometric upper bridge bar. The warm color story and updated aviator shape of this pair are giving us major "Out Of The Office" vibes.
