Fall in Love With Loulou Studio

It's official, September 22nd marked the formal start of the most anticipated season for fashion - fall. The air may not be as cool and crisp as the full swing of autumn but that doesn't mean we can't start decorating our homes and wardrobes seasonal pieces. The fall uniform varies from person to person, but one thing that is a universal staple is an excellent cozy sweater. We are sweater weather aficionados at Pavilion one of our all time favorite knitwear brands has just debuted their full Autumn/Winter collection. Parisian brand Loulou Studio is the creation from French designer and influencer Chloe Loulou De Saison. Drawing from personal experiences, closet favorites and wish-list pieces, Chloe creates a collection for the modern-day Parisian woman. Each item is elevated yet simple enough to integrate into any woman's rotation. whether it's for a business meeting or a casual weekend brunch, her minimalist silhouettes leave us feeling confident and sophisticated. Loulou Studio's designs encapsulate effortlessly chic simplicity, but the gorgeous (and sustainable) cashmere and wools are what keep us coming back for more. With yarns sourced from Mongolia, and cashmere, cotton, and leather from Europe, Loulou Studio highlights each county's heritage, all while respecting and admiring the craftsmanship. On this week's Editorial, we are kicking off fall with an exclusive outfitting guide centered around a few of Loulou Studio's latest sweaters.
Every year brings new knitwear trends, but we are happy to see that the “Grandpa Cardigan” is back for AW20. Last year's return of the cardi was more straightforward and traditional, but this year, Loulou Studio is giving us a much-needed elevated iteration with the Asinara Cardigan in Ivory. This chunky oversized rib knit features modern angular cable knit detailing with fun decorative bobbles at the shoulders and oversized tortoise buttons. We love the oversized aesthetic and cocoon-like tunic length hem. We love the idea of pairing this creamy ivory knit with a pair of light wash jeans like Moussy's newest the Glen Boy Skinny in Light Blue. These rigid super high waisted skinny keep this outfit feeling transitionally light and not too heavy. Keep things California cool with a pair of sleek black sandals like the Arezzo from K Jacques. Handmade in St. Tropez, these all leather slides are the perfect to slip on as you step out for any occasion. The devil is the details, so don’t forget to accessorize with some gold: grab a new chain like the Monaco Necklace from Marit Rae and a complimentary pair of warm-toned sunnies such as Illesteva's Mykonos II in Gold with Brown Flat Lenses.

Another tried and true trend for fall, deep jewel tones return from Loulou Studio just in time for the cold weather. The New Bruzzi pullover is our "it" sweater when it first arrived last year in Ivory and Noisette. It makes it’s seasonal return, this time in a deep forest Green iteration. This relaxed fit cropped sweater features a chunky, rounded ribbed neck and sleeve with a boxy silhouette and semi-cropped sweep that perfectly grazes the waistband (size up for a little more length, even though it’s already boxy). We love the rich new green coloration and the endless outfitting possibilities it gives us. Let the sweater be the star of the show and pair your pullover with a fun light wash distressed jean. We love the effortless aesthetic we achieve when paired with GRLFRND's Karolina High Rise in A Little More Love. These 90's inspired vintage fit, tapered straights sit high on the waist and are purposefully distressed for an authentic laid back look "lived in" look. The easy ankle crop frayed hem is the perfect inseam to showcase any of your favorite sneakers or slides. We wanted to add some autumnal warmth and comfort to our look, so we reached for St. Agni's Desi Knit Loafer in Tan. This sock-like knitted leather slide is the perfect comfort mule for anyone who has been living in slippers these past several months. The gorgeous neutral tan coloration is achieved using the brand's famous vegetable dying technique to achieve the perfect tonality. Tie everything together with a thick-framed geometric acetate pair of sunglasses and make a statement with Illesteva's top-selling Lisbon in Black. Accessorize your neck with some light and bright bling - we love the holiday opulence we get with Pascale Monvoisin's Pierrot Nº2 Necklace in White.

Last, but certainly not least, Loulou Studio knows exactly how to do a statement sweater, and they're doing all of the heavy lifting for us with their newest Parata Turtleneck Sweater in Grey Melange. This super chunky, oversize, knit pullover features a gorgeously built up turtleneck (that can easily be worn up or folded down) with a flattering oversized tunic length body elevated with a modern textured rib knit. We love the intricate attention to detail from the inset sleeve panel at the armhole, to the dimensional yoke and stitch detailing. The steel-like flat grey yarn coloration makes this a minimalistic enthusiasts dream statement piece. Keep things simple and monochromatic with a washed black straight-leg jean, like AGOLDE's Toni Mid Rise Straight in Feral. Cut from the softest super-stretch, these feature a mid-rise with a clean leg and stylized frayed hem for a little bit of added edge. Add some color back into this tonal look with a playful pair of Golden Goose like the Running Sole in Leopard Pony Silver. Finish everything off with a dramatic and round pair of oversized frames such as Illesteva's Leonard II E in Black and some Small Chunky Gold Hoops from Marit Rae.
