Autumnal dressing is a popular favorite for the sartorially inclined, and it’s finally time to make the seasonal changes to what we reach for in our day to day wardrobe. As we swap sundresses for sweaters and sandals for sneakers, we can’t forget the accessories. Sunglasses are virtually a year round closet staple, and as the seasons shift so do the shapes of shades. Today we highlight two transitional trends in sunglasses for fall, and how to style them.

With a brand new infusion of handmade Italian sunglasses at Pavilion, the Cat Eye Collection stands out. Cat eye frames have an upsweep at the outer corners where the arms meet the front of the frame, and generally boast a soft and rounded, feminine shape. Classic and always in style, the cat eye gets an update for fall by marrying a short, nineties inspired shape to highlight the eyebrows. This smaller profile frame offsets soft and slouchy knit sweaters and complements slim fit trousers. Add a generous dose of jewelry and a leopard shoulder bag to complement their natural femininity.

For a departure from the naturally feminine cat eye, fall also gets an infusion of sharp shapes with the Angular Collection. Angular frames have sharp square corners and a symmetrical shape from top to bottom, which suit oval and rounded face shapes very well and complement angular lines in an outfit, like tailored blazers. Balance the look by adding soft details like a ruched bodysuit and sparkling gold jewelry for a completely chic and on-trend ensemble.
