Style Guide: The Working Woman

As the first month of 2020 winds down it feels like we’re situating back into our daily grind. Whether you spend the majority of your work week in an office bouncing from meeting to meeting, or at home nestled in front of your laptop, we all have our way of getting it done. With different work environments and professions comes everyone's unique sense of style and functional demands. Many find it hard to find outfits that are both appropriate in the workplace and their everyday life but at Pavilion we make sure that we have your everyday essential needs met. In this week's editorial, we are highlighting three different workwear looks for the modern woman.

In an urban city like San Francisco, work environments are just as diverse and variable as the city itself. These days people range from working exclusively in their pajamas to dressing for sartorial business success. If you're in what’s beginning to feel like the minority, and are still required to adhere to business casual constraints, we are in love with the cut and fabrication of the Kate Blouse in Charcoal Cobra by Rails. This 100% silk button-down exudes professionalism, class, and style with a sleek yet chic print. If you feel you need a little bit more color in your wardrobe, we also have this blouse available in Red Python. Keep things sharp with a front “French tuck” or go for a full 360-tuck into pair of sleek high rise pants. We love the super fashion rise of the Hepburn High Rise Wide Leg in Stockton by DL1961. This wide-leg jean takes on the appearance of a black trouser/pant for ultimate sophistication. The ultra-soft and stretchy blend of cotton, Tencel, and lycra will have you jumping from meeting to meeting in comfort and style. The Hepburn features a high rise and ankle crop inseam measuring at 26.5" elevated with rose gold hardware for a touch of femininity. Tie it all together with an easy mule - the Ekko Flat in Black by Dolce Vita is essential for the business-casual wardrobe. This smooth-to-the-touch leather slide is cut in a fresh asymmetrical silhouette bringing a bold yet easygoing vibe to your 9-5 ensemble.

Working seems increasingly more common and popular, and in that case comfort is king. With winter still chilly, having some coverage is critical while you WFH. We love the hand-feel and warmth of Alternative Apparel's new Long Sleeve Mia Slinky Rib Crew T-Shirt in Ash Heather. The soft mini rib fabrication makes this fitted tee perfect for maximum lounging abilities. Pair this waistband grazing "long" crop tee with an effortless flowy pant. We are obsessed with Stateside's Cupro Drawcord Wide Leg Pants in Black. This 100% Cupro relaxed fit pant features functional pockets and a wide-leg comfort fit with an adjustable drawstring at the waist. These Los Angeles made pants can be quickly dressed up - just in case you decide to leave the house :). To achieve the ultimate lounge aesthetic, we went with the Desi Knit Loafer in Black by Australian brand, St. Agni. This slide-on loafer binds fine leather on a knitting loom to create a uniquely breathable and comfortable shape. With time, the vegetable-tanned leather will soften and become slipper-like - perfect for when you want to kick them off at home.
