It’s hard to believe July is here and summer is officially in full swing. For those of who hid out in sweats and stretch pants, it’s time to shed those soft layers and swap them for some shorts. Nothing screams summer like the perfect pair of “jorts”, often better known as jean shorts, cutoffs, or maybe even “Daisy Dukes”. Perhaps one of the most polarizing articles of clothing, the ugly truth is it can be hard to survive an entire summer without at least one pair. Starting from shortest to longest, the Parker in Swapmeet from AGOLDE returns to Pavilion along with it’s washed black counterpart - Crash. This all time bestselling body is definitively on the shorter side with a 2.75” inseam. What keeps these cutoffs from being too skimpy is the fact that they are not tight in the leg opening, gently flaring out at the bottom with a frayed hem. These are technically a high rise at 11.5” but can easily be pulled down lower on the hips for a slouchier, more relaxed effect. If you want to wear these lower, we recommend sizing up in these 100% cotton shorts. Swapmeet is the perfect light blue with an easy vintage vibe that’s perfect summer after summer. Tie up a tee, or pair these back to your favorite bodysuit, we’re loving this look with a sophisticated balloon sleeve cardigan from Parisian brand Loulou Studio. The Tiberine Cardigan in Anthracite can be layered and left open or buttoned up and worn as a top as we’re wearing it this week. Keep this melange knit around for those chilly evenings (or days if you live in San Francisco). We love the simplicity of this outfit paired back to an easy handmade sandal like Dori Woven Slide in Nude from St Agni. Last but not least, the Reese in Precision from AGOLDE is a completely new style and color for the brand and to Pavilion. For those that are looking for comfort, coverage and cool these are a great new option. The longest of all the AGOLDE shorts, the Reese is 4.5” with an 11.5” rise that many are wearing larger and lower on the hips rather than super high waisted like the Dee. These are intended to be a roomier fit, we recommend taking your true size for a relaxed look. Much like the Dee and Parker, the Reese is another indigo 100% cotton denim but the Precision is more of a true medium blue wash that will fade and soften with time and wear. These feature a raw hem that can easily be cut and shortened if you’re wanting to make these your own. As these are the roomiest of all the styles, we’re staying in line with the casual slightly oversized look with a summer sweatshirt and sandals.
