It’s early days in the new decade but we are still in the throes of winter in ther Northern Hemisphere. While the festivities of the holidays may be over, January frost is real. Many of us look forward to trading out our puffers and raincoats for those beloved transitional spring layers, but unfortunately, we're not quite there yet. In San Francisco, especially, the air is feeling California crisp, forcing us to want to do nothing but bundle up in our warmest layers. To kick off the new year we have tons of new arrivals at the shop, outer layers in particular that are great for piling up or wearing as is for the more temperate days. Keep reading to see how we're styling the chicest winter pieces in this week's editorial.
Throughout Fall and Winter, anything sherpa-lined is a savior. GRLFRND Denim brings the ULTIMATE sherpa trucker jacket to make anyone go green with envy. Bundle up and keep your body happy in the Miya Jacket in Miles High - the perfect update to your everyday denim jacket - but with a twist. Featuring a blocked shearling body and full shearling sleeve (there’s no liner which keeps this extra cozy), this jacket is elevated with denim accents throughout. The oversized silhouette paired with the amazing textures of the different fabrications will make this outer layer your new go-to statement jacket. Let the coat be the focal point and layer it atop a fitted rib tee like the super soft Mia Slinky Rib in White by Alternative Apparel. It’s a wallet friendly tee and the quality and fit are unbeatable. Add a level of shine to your look with an elevated pair of coated black denim like The Bridget Crop in Black Coated. This high waisted crop kick flare is finished with an extra stretchy coating, giving these pants a sheen that will bring some chic edge to any outfit. Pair down your color palette with complimentary black sneakers. The Superstar in Black with White Star is the perfect shoe to ground it all out - don't wait too long to snag these - black is a rare specialty for Golden Goose and they always go quick!
The black blazer is and always will be a wardrobe staple. We are obsessed with the boxy yet tailored fit and silhouette of the Becky Blazer in Black by Anine Bing. Comfortable and sleek enough to be dressed up or down, we love the high low contrast of a blazer and vintage inspired graphic tee. Pay homage to this classic combo with the latest Anine Bing tee - the Lili Bing Tee in Washed Black. This tee offers a boxy but soft-slouch fit, perfect to tuck into your favorite pair of light wash high rise denim. We went with the Nico Hi Rise Slim Fit in Rooted by Agolde. This vintage-inspired indigo jean is made using the perfect stretch blend of organic cotton, lyocell, and recycled elastane. These feature a high “fashion” rise at 11.25" with a full length skinny tapered inseam of 27". We love how the frayed hack hem and subtle distress throughout the leg pairs with this tailored yet edgy look - for you petite people, don’t be afraid to cut this already raw hem yourself! Make this an outfit that will carry you from day to night with a chic bootie. The texture and warmth of the Shanta Bootie in Snake by Dolce Vita will bring some on-trend class to your get-up. This cost-conscious bootie features a pointed toe and ankle hugging upper all held together by a chunky back zipper. The angled block heel sits at a comfortable 3 inches in height.
